Police: Mauldin Homeowner Pulls Gun on Foreclosure Server

Foreclosure server carrying a gun, too, but keeps it holstered.

A man serving a mortgage foreclosure to a Mauldin homeowner last Friday allegedly had a gun pulled on him, a Mauldin Police report said.

The server declined to press charges, but told police that while visiting a house on South Oak Forest Drive to deliver paperwork and take photographs, he was confronted by a man who pulled what appeared to be a sawed off shotgun or rifle, and said that he heard the man cock it, the report said.

The sever had arrived at the house and was met first by a group of people out front, who advised him to leave his message with the homeowner at the front door. It was when the server attempted to take a photograph that an older white male approached him with a gun, the report said.

The man with the gun advised the sever to leave his message, put the camera away and promptly leave the property, the report said.

"The [server] advised he had a concealed weapon on him with a CWP, but he did not feel his life was threatened which is why he did not shoot him," the report said.
