Mauldin Police Investigate Burglary, Theft From Local Business
Unidentified bandit stole hundreds in cash from Interstate Battery, police report.

Mauldin Police are investigating who broke into the Interstate Battery store earlier this week and took off with hundreds of dollars in cash, an incident report said.
The bandit entered the store located at 431 West Butler Road last week by smashing out the store's glass door with a brick, the report said.
According to images from surveillance cameras, the person entered the store and went directly to the store's cash box, and got away with between $400 and $500 in cash, the report said.
Though not named as a suspect in the report, the owner indicated that he recently fired an employee and gave the names of his current employees to the police, the report said.
Attempts to lift fingerprints at the scene were unsuccessful. The thief appeared to be wearing a reflective suit, stocking cap, and gloves, the report said. The case remains under investigation.
