Mauldin Rotary Holds 2012 Charter Dinner

Firefighter, police officer and business of the year recognized

The Mauldin Rotary Club held its annual Charter Night on Tuesday at the . As is tradition, the Rotary gave out awards for Firefighter of the Year, Police Officer of the Year and Business of the Year. The winners were:

Lt. Brian McHone of the Mauldin Fire Department.

Cpt. Roger Tripp of the Mauldin Police Department.

Downtown Coffee House & Creamery was named the Mauldin Rotary Business of the Year.

The Program Speaker was Johnny Boan, Vice President Kemet Corporation.

Visiting Rotarians of note were the District Governor for Rotary District 7750, Gary Goforth from Greenwood and Assistant Governor for Rotary District 7750, David Brown from Simpsonville.   

The evening’s dinner was catered by Smoke on the Water.
