New Awning at Miracle League Field Made Possible Through Greenville Civitans
In time for opening day on Saturday
Fans attending the opening of the Mauldin Miracle League 2011 season on Saturday are sure to the new awning covering the bleachers. The awning was but was dedicated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday.
The awning was made possible through a donation from the Civitan Club of Greenville in the amount of $10,000.
The Civitans were made aware of the need by Miracle League Founder and President Dennis Raines after they contacted him as a follow-up to their donation of Cool Zone Fans last year.

Civitans International was founded in 1917 with charities like the Miracle League in mind, as its mission is to provide funding for the underprivileged. Since being founded, hundreds of branches have been started across the nation. The Greenville Civitans have been in existence since the 1940s.
The Miracle League season opens with three games on Saturday, the same day as the on Saturday.
