Langston Seventh Grader Qualifies to the Lego Robotics State Championship 

Langston seventh grader, Anish Chaluvadi, qualified to the Lego Robotics State Championship (see photo). His team advanced to the state championship by placing 2nd in the Greenville County Regional Competetion on February 4. Other awards to the team include 1st place in Technical Presentation and 2nd place in Teamwork/Core values.  The state competition will be at at Irmo High School in Irmo, SC on February 25th.

Deposit for 8th grade Washington DC Trip

A $200.00 deposit is due in the school office by 4:00pm on Friday, Mar 16, 2012 to reserve a spot on the Washington DC trip for current 7th graders who will go on their 8th grade trip October 23 – October 27, 2012.

Registration Now Open for Langston Study Skills Workshop

Registration is now underway for Study Skills – Preparing for Middle School workshop offered to rising 6th graders. The purpose of this workshop is to give rising 6th graders the skills and confidence they need to be successful in middle school. Sessions will be held July 16 –20,  July 23 -27, and  July 30 – August 3 with morning and afternoon sessions available. The cost is $100 and a $25 registration fee. Space is limited to 15 participants per session and sessions fill up quickly. Please contact Rob Venable at 864-286-9700 or rvenable@langstoncharter.org with any questions or to register.      

Langston Relay For Life T-shirts - The 2012 Langston Relay for Life T-Shirts are on sale for $12.  All proceeds go towards Langston’s fundraising efforts for Relay for Life (American Cancer Society).

Stevie B’s Spirit Night – Langston’s Spirit Night is Thursday, February 23 at Stevi B's Pizza on Woodruff Road. Stevie B’s will donate $1.00 for each person who mentions Langston.
