Kickoff event was a tailgate prior to last night's Mauldin-Westside football game

Prior to last night’s football game the Mauldin High Student Body hosted a tailgate festival in the school parking lot.

The event marked the beginning of the year-long partnership between the Mauldin High Student Council and the Building Dreams Mentoring Program, a charity that helps family members of the incarcerated.

To celebrate the occasion, all four grade levels fashioned tailgate tents for the community to enjoy under the crisp fall skies. Mauldin Patch recruited Student Body Co-President Ben Riddle to snap some photos while he was out and about. From the looks of his photos just about everyone enjoyed the tailgate, which had a Las Vegas theme.
