Police Investigate Mauldin Home Burglary
Electronics, firearm stolen from Devon Drive house, incident report says.

A Mauldin homeowner alleged that an unknown burglar broke into his house earlier this week and stole various electronics and a shotgun valued at $2,700, a Maudin Police report said.
The 60-year-old victim told police his home on Devon Drive was broken into sometime on the morning of May 21. The victim said he noticed something was amiss when he returned shortly before noon to find the home's back door to be wide open from a forced entry, the report said.
Inside, the homes master bedroom, spare bedroom, and the owner's son's bedroom were "in a state of disarray" with drawers removed and items strewn about the rooms, the report said.
An inventory determined that the burglar, or burglars, stole a new 47-inch LG television set valued at $1,200, as well as an iPad, Dell laptop computer, and a Yaldiz over-under 12-gauge shotgun, the report said.
The home had an alarm system, however it was not operational, the report said.
A neighborhood resident told police that he saw a dark-primer conventional van back into the driveway of the incident location shortly before 8 a.m., the report said.
