POLL: Does Prejudice Still Exist for Both Mormons, African Americans?

Four years after the first black man was elected president and a Morman man first ran for the same office, both African Americans and Mormons say prejudice still abounds.

A new poll conducted by Washington Post-ABC News, shows that a large number of say they would be uncomfortable with a close family member marrying someone who is black or Mormon.

According to an article in The Washington Post, fewer Americans say they sense discrimination against blacks in their own communities, with only 37 percent of respondents reporting discrimination in their communities.

More Americans also express “no opinion” when asked about the Mormon faith.
