Progress Report: Cultural Center Renovations on Target Despite 'Soft Spot'

The latest in our continuing updates on the progress of the internal and external renovations of the Mauldin Cultural Center

Earlier this month, workers on the landscaping portion of the discovered a that would need to be firmed up before work could continue.

City Administrator Trey Eubanks told Mauldin Patch that the issue has been solved from a technical standpoint and the work is on schedule. Financially speaking, the work needed to remedy the issue went over the $15,000 set aside in the budget for unforeseen circumstances by $3,200. But Eubanks said that savings in lighting and signage will defray the $3,200 and the project is therefore still on budget.
