Scott Wingo Headed to Utah

Could see action tonight

Scott Wingo is en route to Utah. After 20 at-bats in the Arizona League, the former Mauldin High star and Most Outstanding Player of this year’s College World Series was moved up by Dodgers officials. It was well-deserved too as he hit a gaudy .450 with a triple a five walks for an on-base percentage of .560

According to a well-placed source, Wingo is en route to the Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer League. He’s appearing on the Ogden roster as a shortstop. There is a good chance he’ll make an appearance in the game tonight against Orem.

Ogden is on Mountain Standard Time and tonight’s game starts at seven o’clock, which is nine o’clock in Mauldin.
