Secret Service Searches Laurens Road Car Dealership

Authorities tight-lipped on details of search at Exclusive Motorcars.

Secret Service agents and local authorities swooped into a Laurens Road car dealership on Wednesday to execute a federal search warrant.

Agents, along with Greenville Police and Greenville County Sheriff's deputies, executed the search at Exclusive Motorcars, located at 2424 Laurens Road, about four miles outside Mauldin.

According to Thomas Griffin with the Secret Service, agents were taking inventory of items of interest to their unidentified investigation, Fox Carolina reported.

Griffin did not divulge details of the investigation, but said the investigation is ongoing and that so far no arrests have been made, the report said.

In addition to its duty to the protect the President of the United States, the Secret Service's primary investigative mission is to safeguard the payment and financial systems of the United States. That includes crimes that involve financial institution fraud, computer and telecommunications fraud, false identification documents, access device fraud, advance fee fraud, electronic funds transfers, and money laundering.
