
Mauldin Police have made an arrest in vehicle break-ins that occurred on and on at and child development centers.
Police say 40-year-old Shamel Antonio Golden of Simpsonville targeted motor vehicles in parking lots of area daycares. Police say Golden watched nearby, waiting for vehicles to be vacated and then would take unattended items from the car and leave. He is charged with four counts of Breaking Into Motor Vehicles. Golden is currently in the Greenville County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing that is scheduled for Dec. 8.
The investigation is on-going at this time and more charges are possibly pending from other area Law Enforcement Agencies. The investigation was conducted by both Mauldin and Simpsonville Police Departments.

Detective Ben Ford of the Mauldin Police said that Golden is not presently a suspect in other auto break-ins .
