Simpsonville Police Seeking Help Identifying Suspect in Autobreakings

Officers said anyone with information should call Simpsonville Police Department at 967-9536 or Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.

Simpsonville Police needs public assistance in identifying a man they believe is connected with a number of autobreakings in three Simpsonville neighborhoods.

Police have been investigating a number autobreakings that occurred between July 14 and Aug. 7 in the Poinsettia, Wemberly, and Powderhorn subdivisions.

According to a release from the department, the suspect enters vehicles that are being left unlocked.

The suspect, pictured in the attached files, is described as a thin built white male, approx. 6ft tall, wears glasses and carries a backpack.

Officers remind car owners to remove valuables from their vehicle, keep vehicle doors locked and report suspicious individuals.
