UPDATE: Spartanburg Soldier Charged in Death of Hiccuping Soldier
Spc. Patrick Edward Myers of Spartanburg apparently pointed a gun at the victim's head to scare him and stop the hiccups.
A night of drinking and football turned deadly Sunday night, according to Killeen, Texas police.
Spec. Patrick Edward Myers, 27, of Spartanburg has been charged with manslaughter after he allegedly pointed a gun at the victim's head in effort to stop the victim's hiccups Sunday, according to the Associated Press.
The two soldiers were stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. According to a police report, the shooting happened at an off-base residence just after 10 p.m.

The residents called 911 and the victim was taken by ambulance to Skylark
Field, where he was then airlifted to the hospital.
The 22-year-old victim died during the ambulance ride. His name has not been released.

Myers is being held on a $1 million bond, according to the Bell County Jail inmate list.
