Mauldin High's Senior Parent Presentation - Thursday, Sept. 1
Senior Parent Night in the Auditorium at 6:30 pm.  A presentation will be provided by the senior counselor, the discussion will be focused on the application process and the state scholarships available to in-state institutions.  

Important Senior Meetings Coming Soon!
Mrs. Dalton Kelsey will be meeting with all seniors next Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. Seniors will be meeting during their English classes.  If you do not have an English class, you will be notified of your meeting time. At the meeting, you will receive an unofficial copy of your transcript. You will also learn the process for applying for colleges and have all of your questions answered about colleges, scholarships, and graduation.  A Parent Night will be held on Thursday evening, Sept. 1 at 6:30 PM in the auditorium to explain the same information to parents. Mrs. Kelsey will begin accepting applications for processing beginning Sept. 6 once all students are aware of the process.

Club International Meeting - Tuesday, Aug. 30

Are you interested in learning about different cultures in the world? If so, Club International is the club for you. We will meet after school on Tuesday, Aug. 30 in Room B139. Interested students are invited to join for the low cost of $5. You may pick up an application in Mrs. Noralee Robert's room (B139).

Robotics Team Information Night - Tuesday, Aug. 30
Mauldin's award winning robotics team will hold an information night at 7 on Tuesday, Aug. 30 for students, parents, and interested mentors to learn more about plans for the 2011-12 season. Contact Mrs. Nancy Zende in B110 if you would like additional information about this meeting.

Wrestling - Fall Practice Begins Thursday, Sept. 1
The Wrestling Team will conduct fall practice beginning this Thursday immediately after school.  Any student interested in joining the Wrestling Team should see Coach Quay Scott in Room D128 as soon as possible.

Beta Club Applications Due Friday, Sept. 9
Ninth, tenth, and eleventh graders who are interested in joining the Beta Club should apply by September 9th. Applications are available on the Beta Club page of the MHS website.  All applications are due to Mrs. Alyson Nelson in Room B315 no later than Friday, Sept. 9. See Mrs. Alyson Nelson if you have any questions.

Parent Portal Information
Once again this year Greenville County Schools has a unique tool to help you track information about your child. It is called the Parent Portal. This tool will help you be better informed about your child's academic performance, attendance and discipline.

If you used the portal last year, your user name and password are the same as you set it last year. This applies to any student who attended Greenville County Schools. So if you used the Parent Portal as an 8th grade parent or parent at another high school, you do not need another password. This initial user name and password you created will follow your child as long as s/he attends a school in Greenville County

If you are new to our district or did not use the Parent Portal last year; you may pick-up your access ID and password in the Mauldin High School Guidance Office during regular hours of 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. See below.

In order to take advantage of this system, you must initially obtain an access ID and password. With this access ID and password, you can set up your own personal username and password to monitor your child's academics, attendance and much more.  Because this information is sensitive, you must pick up the access ID and password in person at the MHS Guidance Office and show proper identification as requested.  Information will only be released to legal biological parents or guardians (no step-parents unless the school has a signed document on file allowing the release of student information to the step-parent). The school will not email, mail or provide the information over the phone.  Once you set-up your account, there is a user guide online to assist with features of this program.
