South Carolina Virtual School - Summer School Information
Students interested in taking a South Carolina Virtual School Program (SCVS) free summer course must follow a two-step process.
1. Students must see their counselor and complete and submit an application. Applications will be accepted beginning March 5, 2012. Once students apply they should go ahead and set-up a VSA account (instructions provided by the counselor).
2. SCVS will open up for students to then request the course they wish to take beginning May 21 – 25. Acceptance into the classes is on a first-come first-serve basis; so students are encouraged to request the class as soon as the system opens on May 21.
Once you have requested a course, it is your responsibility to log in and check the status of your request. You can see what each status means by going to the SCVSP website, and viewing their enrollment status chart under the Students tab. You could be assigned up until the day classes begin, so continue to check your status.
On the day that your virtual class is scheduled to begin, check your Inbox under “Messages”
(See the blue box on the left of the screen.) on your VSA site, as your virtual teacher will send you a message activating the class and giving you instructions on what to do to get started.
