Indoor Guard Success!
Congratulations to the Indoor Color Guards for their placements at T.L. Hanna. The JV Guard earned 3rd place, and the Varsity Guard earned 2nd place!

2012 - 2013 Registration Reminders
Students planning to complete a Parent Override are encouraged to submit forms to guidance by March 1 so the override course will be seen when the registration system opens on March 5. (Deadline - March 15)

Rising seniors planning to request a permanent early dismissal for next year are encouraged to submit forms to guidance by March 1 so the request will be seen when the registration system opens March 5. (Deadline - March 15)

Counselors will take students to computer labs for registration March 5 - 8. Registration closes and all requests and forms are due no later than March 15.

South Carolina AHEC Summer Careers Academy

The South Carolina AHEC Summer Careers Academy is designed to increase the acceptance, retention, and graduation rates of under-represented minority and disadvantaged students to nursing, dental medicine, medicine, pharmacy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and physician assistant training programs in South Carolina. The 2012 Academy is scheduled for June 3-8, 2012. Here's how to apply:

 2.  Download and complete the Mail-in Release Form<https://www.scahec.net/hcp/Registrations/2012SummerAcademyRelease.pdf>
 3.  Mail the following to: Paula Jones c/o SC AHEC, 19 Hagood Ave, Suite 802, Charleston SC 29425

    *   Printout of your online registration confirmation
    *   Completed Release form
    *   Two letters of recommendation (e.g., employer, community individual, teacher, academic advisor)
    *   Current official transcripts (must be received as a sealed, school registrar stamped envelope OR directly from the registrar’s office)
    *   High school students must submit documentation by a counselor, on school letterhead, confirming anticipated 2012 graduation
    *   $25 Application Fee (Cashier's Check or Money Order payable to 'South Carolina AHEC')
    *   The deadline for submitting all application items is Mar 30, 2012

BMW Scholars Program
If you are a senior planning on attending Tri-County or Greenville Tech in the fall and will major in Automotive, Robotics, Mechatronics, Machine Tool, or a related manufacturing field come see Mrs. Dalton Kelsey in guidance to learn more about the BMW Scholar Program.

USC Upstate/BMW Manufacturing Academic Outreach Camp
Rising high school seniors with a demonstrated ability and interest in math and science are invited to apply for this summer outreach camp to be held at USC Upstate from June 11-15 and 18-22 from 8:30 – 4:30 pm daily. Students will gain an understanding of the manufacturing process and insight into careers at BMW.
