Congrats to the Marching Mavs!
The Marching Maverick Band had more success this weekend competing with 20 bands at the Berea HS competition.  The band won Best Color Guard of the day, Best Percussion of the day, Best Music Execution of the day, and tied for 1st place overall.  This is the 5th Grand Championship we have earned in the past 3 years!

Football & Cheer Parent Concession Workers Needed!
If you have not worked concessions for the football games this year,  we need your help to staff the concessions booth for the final two home varsity games, Friday, October 14 and October 28 and for the home C team/JV games on Thursday, October 20 and November 3rd.  If not enough football and cheerleading parents show up, it is possible that the concession stand will not be open.

Please contact your team rep on the nights you can help out:

Greenville County College Fair

Have you thought about your future college plans?  Are you interested in finding out more about a specific college?  If so, the Greenville County College Fair is just for you.  The College Fair will be held on October 23 and 24 at the TD Convention Center in Greenville (formerly known as the Carolina First Center).  Sunday will be the best opportunity for 11th and 12th graders to attend the College Fair along with their parents.  It begins Sunday at 1:00 and ends at 4:30.  During this time, you can learn about the SAT, financial aid, and optimizing your college application.  Plus, there will be representatives from 125 different colleges who can answer any of your college questions.  We highly encourage students to attend on Sunday but we will offer a brief field trip on Monday for those not able to take advantage of the Sunday time.  Registration for the Monday trip will begin October 3 in Guidance.  The deadline to register for Monday's trip is October 12 by 4:00.  There will be no exceptions for this deadline.  If you plan to attend on Monday, you will need to return a completed field trip permission slip. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Jennifer Swift.
