Thousands Flock to Mauldin Egg Drop (Photos)

Second annual event at Sunset Park featured tens of thousands of eggs dropped from a helicopter.

Despite the piercing chill, thousands of children and their parents descended on Sunset Park in Mauldin on Tuesday night for the city's second-annual Egg Drop.

Kids from throughout the Golden Strip and Upstate scrambled for goodie-filled eggs dropped from a helicopter — more than 50,000 eggs in all.
