Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us Opens in Grand Style

Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us, which are operating under the same roof at its new Woodruff Road location, are holding a grand opening celebration this weekend with activities and treats for children, the store announced.

Families are being invited throughout the weekend for savings, giveaways, kid-friendly activities, and visits from popular costumed characters, such as Strawberry Shortcake and Captain America, the store said.

Weekend activities include:

— Arts and Crafts time will be held on Friday at 10am and 10:30am
— Story time will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11am, 1pm and 3pm
— Costumed characters and special guests, including Toodee from Yo Gabba Gabba!, Strawberry Shortcake and Geoffrey the Giraffe, will make appearances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm; additionally, on Saturday from 10am to 2pm, Captain America visits the store as well.

The store, located in Magnolia Park at 1025 Woodruff Road, is open Friday, May 24 from 10am – 9pm; Saturday, May 25 from 9am – 9pm; and, Sunday, May 26 from 10am – 8pm.
