UPDATE - October 13
The lane change scheduled for tonight has been delayed until next week due to the heavy rains of the past two days. We'll keep you posted on the scheduling.
------------
The South Carolina Department of Transportation is advising motorists who normally travel on I-385 to be aware of a lane shift coming some time in the next several days. The shift is a result of road-widening efforts and will cause traffic moving southbound to be shifted to the northbound lane near mile marker 35. Southbound traffic will switch back to the southbound lanes near mile marker 30.
The shift could go into effect as soon as Thursday, October 13. Crews will be performing work during the evening hours. Traffic will still move in two lanes in each direction while the work is being done.
