Underage Mauldin Teen Receives Obscene Pics From Facebook Messager

Police are investigating who sent a series of nude and obscene photos to an underage Mauldin girl via private Facebook messages, according to a Mauldin Police incident report.

A 14-year-old girl and her father told police the young girl had received nude photos on March 30 and presented prints of the photos to police as evidence, the report said. And that was just the photos the two could retrieve themselves. The father said he planned to seek assistance from Facebook to retrieve other photos allegedly sent to the girl from the suspect.

In addition to the photos, the suspect also reportedly sent messages via Facebook asking the victim to "rate" the pictures of him, "and also requested [the victim] send pictures of her in return," the report said.

The father alleged his daughter was disturbed by the photos of the suspect, whom the girl was allegedly familiar with, recognizing him from the Skatepark of Greenville in Mauldin. However, the girl and her father alleged she did not know him. 

The suspect messaged that he was 18 and gave a birthdate, but the report said no DMV match could be found using the date of birth and name used by the suspect.

The case remains under investigation by Mauldin Police, the report said.
