Veterans, Military Spouse Job Fair Coming to TD Center

Dozens of employers will be on hand later this month to help armed services veterans and military spouses find jobs.

Hiring Our Heroes, a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, will be put on jointly with Fluor and the University of Phoenix on May 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the TD Convention Center, located at 1 Exposition Drive in Greenville.

More than 60 employers will be on hand for the event, ranging from large corporations to small regional companies. Jobs are available for veterans and military spouses of all ranks and levels of experience, GSA Business reported.

The University of Phoenix also will provide a free workshop with one-on-one mentoring, and help with resumes and interviewing techniques.

Since its launch in March 2011, Hiring Our Heroes has helped more than 100,000 veterans and military spouses find employment, the report said. More than 18,400 of those hires came directly from more than 510 hiring fairs the program has held nationwide, according to a news release.

Though walk-ins are allowed, job seekers can register for the event here. Veterans must provide proof of service to take part in the fair.
