Wingo Watch: Ogden Falls in Extra Innings

Raptors continue to slide

Scott Wingo's new team, the Ogden Raptors dropped a 3-2 decision to Pioneer League rival Orem yesterday in 11 innings.

The loss was the ninth in ten games for Ogden, who won the first half with a 22-16 record.

Wingo started at second base and batted ninth for Ogden. He went hitless in five plate appearances, though he did reach base on a hit-by-pitch. The former Mauldin High star is still looking for his first hit in an Ogden uniform after batting .450 in a brief stint with the Arizona League Dodgers. Wingo has not let his struggles at the plate affect his play in the field, as he helped turn two double plays last night.
