Previously that Scott Wingo was destined for Ogden, Utah, which may very well be true. But for, now he's making his professional debut in Arizona. The former Mauldin High and USC star saw action this weekend for the Dodgers of the Arizona Rookie League. On Saturday he went one for one and also walked in a 2-1 loss to the Giants. On Sunday, he went hitless in four at-bats in a 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.
Unfortunately, there are no broadcasts of the Arizona League to which local fans can listen.
But we'll keep tabs on Wingo as he begins what is hopefully a long professional career.
