Wingo's Improvement Matches His Team's
Averages continue to rise as Ogden continues winning ways

Former Mauldin High star Scott Wingo is officially in a groove. This weekend against Missoula he went four-for-eleven, to move his batting average to .267, impressive considering he needed 16 at-bats to get his first hit. The weekend also saw Wingo score four runs while batting leadoff and playing shortstop. He also walked three times, to lift his on-base percentage (OBP) to a sterling .475. As a means of comparison the major league-leader in OBP has a .455 average.
Wingo’s improved performance has coincided with Ogden’s. They have won nine of their last 11 games. The Raptors, who won the first half are now tied for second in the second half standing with a 14-14 record, four games back of Orem. The Raptors play at Casper tonight, starting at 9 p.m. local time.
