Best of Patch: Troubadours Wins Best Cup of Coffee Title
Family-owned coffee house walks away with solid win.
The votes are in, and Patch readers have named the in Mount Pleasant.
is new to the local coffee scene. It opened in November, but with a prime location, tasty brews and scrumptious menu, the coffee shop has won a solid following.
"What makes our shop so special is the fact that it's family owned and operated," said Carol Whitley, one of five siblings who owns and runs the business. "We just love the people of Mount Pleasant."

And it seems like the affection is mutual. In Mount Pleasant Patch's third "Best Of Patch" contest, with 64 percent of the vote, beating out its closest competitor by a nearly 5-to-1 margin.
In addition to coffee, espresso, teas and food, Troubadours also features Friday evening live music.

One coffee house that wasn't included in the contest, Cafe Medley on Sullivan's Island, was recommended by numerous readers as a strong contender for status.
Unfortunately, the contest was open only to Mount Pleasant businesses, but given its close proximity and strong following, Patch will include Cafe Medley in future contests. Readers also recommend their wine selections, which sounds like a great future "Best of Patch" to us.
