Blessing of the Fleet Shirts Debut

Official T-shirts for the Blessing of the Fleet are now on sale and retailer is the only place to purchase the shirts designed by famed oceanographer and marine artist Guy Harvey.

“The Blessing of the Fleet and Seafood Festival is such an iconic event for Mount Pleasant, and we are so honored to help celebrate its 25th anniversary,” said Whitney Holzer, co-owner of . “We love working with Guy Harvey and are excited to give all of Charleston the chance to get this exclusive design.”

Set for Sunday, April 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at , the Blessing of the Fleet and Seafood Festival features a ceremonial religious blessing of the area’s shrimp boats along with fresh-prepared seafood, live music and arts and crafts.

A portion of the shirt sales through May 31 will benefit Shem Creek Shrimpers and the Coastal Conservation Association through the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation.

, which sells a host of specialty gift and South Carolina lifestyle apparel, is also home to a Guy Harvey shirt designed especially for the retailer’s seven locations, including the shop in Mount Pleasant Towne Centre.

“We are such enormous Guy Harvey fans at Palmetto Moon, so it is an honor for him to create this second t-shirt just for our stores,” Holzer said. “We are thrilled to offer our customers one-of-a-kind apparel and know they will love this new design.”
