Body Found Near USS Yorktown
Discovery five days after women jumped from Ravenel Bridge.

Charleston police have recovered a body from the water near the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point.
The discovery comes five days after a woman apparently jumped from the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, but police have not conclusively linked the remains with the jumper.
"The body of a woman was found about 3:15 p.m. this afternoon in front of the Yorktown at Patriots Point by Sgt. Chad Womack with the Charleston Police Department Harbor Patrol," said Charles Franics, police spokesman. "The coroner will determine the identity of the body."

If confirmed, this jumping incident will be the second suicide from the Ravenel Bridge in four months. In December, a Nigerian pharmacy resident at MUSC jumped from the bridge. It took roughly two weeks to recover Tosin Oyelowo's body from the water.
