“Response to the initial release in December has been more than gratifying. I hope the second edition will attract even more attention as words spreads about it. I’m especially happy to accept Barnes and Noble’s offer to join several other South Carolina authors at the event on the tenth,” said Ables, a career naval officer and speechwriter.
Tale of the Tape takes historical events – CIA-sanctioned drugs-for-guns trade in Central America, a Soviet returned by U.S. authorities to the ship from which he had just escaped and intrigue behind the 1988 Republican convention in New Orleans – and embarks on a riveting adventure. I’ve been an avid reader of action-adventure novels. I’m offering readers a different approach, one I hope will be even more engaging and entertaining: my heroes are not spies, special agents or powerful players, but rather ordinary individuals who’re drawn into the action quite by circumstance beyond their control,” the Summerville resident added, “I hope readers will enjoy and identify with how my heroes deal with the situations they never anticipated or sought.”
Published by Outskirts Press of Denver, Colorado, Tale of the Tape is available online at outskirtspress.com/taleofthetape/, Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Electronic editions are also available.
