Chevrolet Dealer Plans Expansion
Land acquisition adds more than 1 acre to dealership.

McElveen Chevrolet is planning an expansion at its Hwy. 17 dealership.
The car dealer last week cleared a town rezoning process that will allow it to showcase automobiles on the property that once housed a CVS drug store. The building was most recently used as a headquarters for the Johnnie Dodds Blvd. construction office.Â
McElveen opened the Mount Pleasant location in 2002 on a small lot at the intersection of Hungryneck Blvd., Hwy. 17 and the onramp to Interstate 526.Â
The acquisition gives McElveen 1.18 acres of land to showcase cars. The building will presumably be demolished to make way for the car lot.Â
