Coast Guard Rescues 4 on Wando River

Boaters go overboard after striking buoy.

Four people thrown overboard when their boat hit a buoy were rescued around 1:15 a.m. on the Wando River, according to reports.

Three of the boaters were retrieved as they clung to a buoy near Remley's Point in Mount Pleasant, according to Live5News.

A fourth was found on Drum Island near where the group's 19-foot boat ran aground. Only one person suffered minor injuries.
