Dentists Honored for Charitable Work
More than 100 dentists get props for charitable work.
The dentists in our community were honored for their generosity at a reception on January 17, 2013 at the MUSC Drug Discovery Building.
This event was sponsored by Patterson Dental. There were six programs represented that recognized their Dentists and all of their contributions they have made in providing relief of pain and basic health services for the working poor, indigents and migrant farm workers and their families. These services have been provided for people living primarily in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties and the surrounding barrier islands. Many of these dental volunteers are graduates of the MUSC College of Dental Medicine.
This regional reception for volunteer dentists was held at MUSC Drug Discovery Center. Harvey Galloway from Blue Cross Blue Shield was the speaker and Debi Chard from Live 5 News was the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. This event was to show appreciation for 100 volunteer dentists in the Tri-County area.
