First DIG South Festival is This Weekend

In case you haven't heard, the economy, our lives, the world are now digital. In recognition of this fact, some of the most creative minds in the Lowcountry have put together DIG South, the Southeast’s first and only interactive festival exploring the digital economy.

Things kickoff today and continue with a virtually non-stop schedule through Sunday.

Modeled after the world-famous SXSW Festival in Austin, TX, the theme for the first year of DIG South is the intersection of technology, social media, marketing and the arts.

DIG South takes place at the College of Charleston TD Arena and other downtown venues. The schedule includes a conference, an expo and sideshows featuring live music, comedy and after-parties.

Presenters will come from local companies like Blackbaud and Benefitfocus, as well as national tech powerhouses like Facebook, Twitter and Aol, to name but a few.

Topics will include digital innovation, platforms and channels, marketing, e-commerce, software development, mobile technology, video, big data, cloud computing, social media, self-publishing, entertainment industry trends, non-profits, gamification and much more.
