1. Business Licenses
The Town of Mount Pleasant has mailed out more than 9,000 business license renewals, and those are coming due this week. Failing to pay the bill on time will result in fees. Here are more details about Mount Pleasant business licenses.2. Mathis Ferry Closures, Roundabout Opens
Expect some evening delays on Mathis Ferry this week as crews widen the road by about two feet between Wingo Way and Bowman Road. A roundabout at Mathis Ferry and Walt Miller Road will open on Wednesday. Read more about the Mathis Ferry construction.3. Crafts on the Creek
Thursday, August 1, 6 p.m. -Â Enjoy craft beers and food at the Lighthouse on Shem Creek. Participants get a sampling of locally brewed beers and tasty culinary offerings. Tickets are $55 and may be purchased at Bottles, Red's Ice House or at the Lighthouse. The event repeats on Sept. 5.4. Pet Adopt-a-thon
Head over to the Yuppie Puppy on South Shelmore Boulevard from noon to 4 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month to see some of the cute pups and kitties up for adoption from Pet Helpers.Â5. Rocky Horror Picture Show
