Trial Set for Hospice Sex Assault Case
Bench trial set for Thursday for homeless man accused of sexually assaulting dying 86-year-old woman.

A homeless man accused of raping an 86-year-old hospice patient in February 2011 will face a bench trial on Thursday in Circuit Court, according to Ninth Circuit Solicitor Scarlett Wilson.
Calvin Dean Williams, 56, is accused of raping a now-deceased woman in her room at Hospice Center of Charleston on Wando Park Blvd. in Mount Pleasant, the Post and Courier reported.
Police said at the time that Williams entered the facility through an unlocked door and then went into the victim’s room right next door. A nurse walked in on Williams.

The man is charge with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and burglary, according to court records. The victim's family has sued the hospice center for failing to protect their relative, according to WCSC-TV.
Williams, who apparently has a long criminal history that includes other sex charges, will stand before Judge R. Markley Dennis. That’s the same judge who two weeks ago sentenced prolific molester Louis “Skip” ReVille to 50 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to multiple child sex offenses.
