Families alarmed by two sightings of suspect vehicle in Mount Pleasant neighborhood.

There are more details today about the suspicious white van that alarmed residents and prompted a call from Crime Stoppers for the public to be on alert.

The vehicle's operator reportedly followed and photographed children in Hamlin Plantation earlier this month.

According to a police report, the incidents March 2 weren’t reported until the 19th but involved children from two different families in the subdivision who said they were either followed or photographed by a man in a van that day, according to the Post and Courier.

“Folks were concerned, I think properly,” said Bill Drury, chairman of the subdivision’s HOA Advisory Committee.
