Mount Pleasant Man Arrested While Burglarizing Convenience Store

Police allege officers caught man while burglarizing Daniel Island store.

A Mount Pleasant man was arrested by Charleston Police about 1 a.m. Wednesday while allegedly burglarizing the Kangaroo convenience store at 901 Island Park Drive on Daniel Island.

Grayson Carr Worley, 26, of Mathis Ferry Road, is charged with Burglary 2nd Degree. Worley was being held in the Al Cannon Detention Center late Wednesday, according to a police news release.

Officers were on patrol in the area when they heard an alarm going off at the business. The officers arrived at the business and found the front door had been pried open, police said.

Upon entering the business, the officers saw the suspect approaching the cash register. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, police said.
