Multiple Closures Slated for Hungryneck Overpass
Take note: These three closures could cause traffic delays.

ALERT I
The I-526 Exit 29 (the ramp from I-526 to Hwy 17 North) will be closed on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights October 24th through October 28th. Closure and opening times vary each day as outlined in the week at a glance below.
Detour Routes for the I-526 Exit 29 Closure
I-526 Exit 29 traffic (from I-526 to US 17 Northbound) is being routed to Chuck Dawley Boulevard to Bowman Road, Riffle Range Road and then onto Venning. I-526 traffic, wishing to travel on US 17 north beyond Boone Hall, could also use I-526 Exit 28 at Longpoint Road.

ALERT II
All Lanes of US 17 (northbound and southbound lanes) at the intersection of Hungryneck and I-526 to Georgetown will be closed on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights October 25, 27, and 28, 2012. Friday and Saturday night closures of US 17 also causes the closure of the I-526 Exit 29 ramp to US 17. Closure and opening times vary each day as outlined in the week at a glance below.

Detour Routes for the Closure of US 17 at Hungryneck Boulevard and I-526 Exit 29
Highway 17 north bound traffic (heading to Awendaw) can follow detour signs to Bowman Road, just before the new Johnnie Dodds/Bowman Road overpass, take a left onto Bowman Road, continue onto Mathis Ferry Road, and follow Mathis Ferry Road north to US 17. Should Highway 17 northbound traffic either miss the Bowman road exit before the new overpass or want to use Rifle Range Road, there is also a signed detour turning right from US 17 at the Wando Crossing shopping center (just after the Chuck Dawley (I-526) Overpass), then right onto Stuart Engals Boulevard, left onto Bowman Road, and left onto Rifle Range Road to US 17.
Highway 17 south bound traffic (heading towards Charleston) shall follow detour signs right onto Mathis Ferry Road.
Hungryneck Boulevard traffic is being rerouted to and from US 17 via Venning Road.
ALERT III
US 17/I-526 Interchange Improvements at Hungryneck Boulevard Closures at a Glance – October 24th through October 28th
• 10:30 pm on Wednesday, October 24 to 5:30 am on Thursday, October 25 – I-526 Exit 29 from I-526 to US 17 North only.
• 10:30 pm on Thursday, October 25 to 5:30 am on Friday, October 26 – I-526 Exit 29 from I-526 will be closed starting at 10:30 pm and then all lanes of US 17 at Hungryneck Boulevard and the I-526 Exit 29 Ramp will be closed at 11:30 pm. Both closures will be opened by 5:30 am on Friday morning.
• 10:30 pm on Friday, October 26 to 7:30 am on Saturday, October 27- Full closure of US 17 at Hungryneck Boulevard and I-526 Exit 29. Because of the full US 17 Closure at this location, I-526 Exit 29 is also being closed.
• 10:30 pm on Saturday, October 27 to 9:00 am on Sunday, October 28 - Full closure of US 17 at Hungryneck Boulevard and I-526 Exit 29. Because of the full US 17 Closure at this location, I-526 Exit 29 is also being closed.
