The Mount Pleasant Police Department is asking for assistance in locating Ruth L. Love for a spree of crimes that spanned five months. Specifically, here are the allegations against Love:
- On July 18, 2012, Ruth Love and an accomplice allegedly entered the store and attempted to steal electric thermometers. They were confronted by a Lowes employee who saw the theft occur. During the confrontation, Ms. Love proceeded to bite the employee on both arms and ran from the scene.
- On April 7, 2012, Ruth Love and an accomplice allegedly entered Michaels located at 1501 North Highway 17N, proceeded to fill a shopping cart full of fake plants and planters and then exited the store through the entrance door and left the area.
- On February 10, 2012, a victim reported her wallet was stolen while at Wild Wings Café located at 644 Coleman Boulevard. Ruth Love was positively identified on surveillance video using the victim’s credit cards a short time after the wallet was stolen, according to police.
