Readers' Choice: Best Mount Pleasant Park

Poll: Patch searches for the best park in the area.

Summer, we hardly had time to miss ya, and it seems like you're already back.

So now that we're enveloped in warm weather and sunshine, it's time to head outdoors and enjoy it. We're asking Patch readers to tell us your favorite spot to take a stroll, enjoy a picnic or just soak up the scenery.

Fortunately, there are plenty of choices in Mount Pleasant, and it seems like the list is growing longer every year. In late 2011, the town opened Shem Creek Park, a multimillion beauty located right on the marsh.

It compliments three other waterfront jewels, Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park and Alahambra Hall and Park and Otis Pickett Bridge on Pitt Street. But there are lesser-known gems out there.

We left out the recreation parks and ballfields in this contest, but we'll likely feature those in their own contest very soon.
