Report: St. Maarten Suspect Confesses

Man accused of slaying Mount Pleasant couple admits to crime.

One of the men accused of killing a Mount Pleasant couple in St. Maarten has reportedly confessed to the crime, according to media on the Dutch Caribbean island.

Meyshane Kemar Johnson, 28, reportedly confessed to police that he was involved in the Sept. 19 slaying of Michael and Thelma King, according the St. Martin News Network. The couple was found dead on Sept. 21 from apparent stab wounds.

Police arrested Johnson on Sept. 23 and then charged a second suspect, a 17-year-old, earlier this week.
