Runners Bitten by Roaming Pit Bulls
Police reports: Dog attacks runners; Officer finds cash.

Two runners told police they were attacked by two roaming pit bulls on Atlantic Street off Coleman Boulevard.
It happened Sept. 12 at about 7:30 p.m., according to reports. The man and woman said they were charged by two aggressive dogs, and neighbors confirmed they also had been in fear of the animals for at least two weeks.
Police traced the animals to Carrie J. Gault's residence. She apologized for the attack and said the animals simply got loose while her son was the only person at home, the report states.

Police referred the case to Animal Control. The victims declined medical attention.

A member of the police force's command staff found the money while running on Sept. 14, according to a police report.
He asked that a patrol officer file a report and place the cash into evidence. If you think it's your money, contact the police.
