Authorities began their search for Ward at sunrise this morning, said Charles Francis, police spokesman. The search will continue until dark, he said.

If confirmed, this jumping incident will be the second suicide from the Ravenel Bridge in four months. In December, a Nigerian pharmacy resident at MUSC jumped from the bridge. It took roughly two weeks to recover Tosin Oyelowo's body from the water.
