Second Arrest in St. Maarten Homicide
Dutch Caribbean authorities arrest second man for slaying of Mount Pleasant couple.

Authorities in the Dutch Caribbean island nation of St. Maarten have arrested a second suspect for the Sept. 19 death of a Mount Pleasant couple, according to the Associated Press.
The unnamed 17-year-old suspect was apprehended Monday after an intensive search, according to police. This is the second arrest in the investigation of Michael and Thelma King's death.
Last week, authorities arrested 28-year-old Meyshane Kemar Johnson, a security guard who may have worked for the same company that secured the King's condominium complex.

Police had told island media from the outset that Johnson was assisted by a St. Maarten native. Johnson is also accused of an armed robbery the day prior to the homicide. Police found some of the Kings' property in a vehicle spotted fleeing the robbery scene.
The South Carolina couple, who split their time between Mount Pleasant and St. Maarten were found dead Sept. 21 in their beach condo.

A funeral is planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday in Chapin, S.C. The Kings were married for two decades. They were apparently building a rum distillery in St. Maarten, where they owned several homes.
