Weekend polling shows a close race for President with GOP nominee Mitt Romney gaining traction after a strong first debate, according to reports.
National tracking shows the race essentially tied. President Barack Obama has 47 percent of the population to Romney's 45 percent. The President still has an electoral vote advantage, but the lead is slipping.
