SWAT Team Extracts Armed Subject
Woman was reported to be armed, suicidal and potentially threatening others.

Reports of a suicidal suspect, who may have been armed with a gun and knife and potentially threatening others, resulted in the Mount Pleasant police SWAT team swarming a Marsh Grass Blvd. home just before 4 p.m. Thursday.
The standoff with the subject lasted about 3 hours, according to police spokesman Maj. Stan Gragg. An officer accidentally discharged his firearm during the standoff, but the incident otherwise ended peacefully.
Police struggled at first to make contact with the suspect to determine that they were OK and willing to comply with police demands, Gragg said.
