Today's a Great Day for a Sunburn
Weather Service: UV Index warning in place for Saturday.

If you plan to spend any time outside today, take your hat and slather on the sunscreen. The sun is going to be brutal.
The National Weather Service has issued a UV warning for Saturday. Forecasters predict a UV index of 11 for much of the Charleston region. UV indices of 11 or greater can produce sunburns within minutes.
To avoid negative impacts, stay indoors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during extreme UV events, health officials suggest. When outdoors, seek shade, wear a hat and use sunscreen. Being on the beach, with its reflective white sand, will amplify the sun's effects on Saturday.
Today's high temperature is expected to be 84 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
