Town leaders hoping to borrow ideas from city's revitalized downtown.

Six members of the Mount Pleasant Town Council, along with town administrators, will travel to Greenville today to tour that city's revitalized downtown.
The trip comes as Mount Pleasant plans its own revialization of Coleman Boulevard. Town leaders have designed an overhaul of that thoroughfare that includes road improvements, on-street parking, bike lanes and lighting.
Town leaders depart from Mount Pleasant at 9 a.m. today. They'll tour downtown later in the day and then meet with Mayor Knox White and Mary Douglas Hirsch, Downtown Development Manager, at 3 p.m.
