MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (January 13, 2022) – At their January 11 meeting, Mount Pleasant Town Council celebrated the Lady Bengals for bringing home their second consecutive state title. The Lucy Beckham High School tennis team, under the leadership of head coach Lizl Kotz and assistant coaches Michele Kraus ad Francois Rizzetto, finished the 2021 season with a regional record of 16-0 and an overall record of 18-2. Following their regular season, the Lady Bengals defeated A.C. Flora High School 4-2 on a cold, dreary day in November 2021, cementing their state win.
